With our association we support children in Liberia
From 1990 to 2003 civil war raged in Liberia, the oldest republic of Africa (founded in 1847) with short interruptions. About 10% of the population died during this violent war, with almost half of the survivors fleeing to neighbouring countries. Although ceasefire has finally returned to Liberia following the withdrawal of the Warlord President Charles Taylor, poverty is still widespread after the long civil war. Countless war orphans and other victims of war can establish an existence without help from the outside.
